Geroa was founded as a Social Insurance Entity according to the Provincial and Sectorial Agreements, thus allowing a large number of workers to access that insurance.
Geroa´s sole objective is to protect the worker, complementing his/her retirement and invalidity pensions and the ones derived from death (widow’s, orphan’s and other pensions).
GEROA PENTSIOAK EPSV is an Insurance entity that was founded in GUIPUZCOA in 1996 linked to the Metalworkers´ Collective Agreement and in the course of the years it has extended to more sectors dealing with the economy of Guipuzcoa.
An Insurance Entity, as the name indicates, implies anticipating the future and unusual situations that can happen during anyone’s life as can be invalidity or death. This anticipation implies a long-term process, so many years will have to elapse in order to see the results. Workers and companies only have to assume a little monthly financial burden, making contributions to GEROA. With the passing of time and the correct investment of that financial burden, they will get a decent allowance to complement the Social Security benefits.
